RECIPE: FRENCH CRIES FRIES

Want to wait a really long time for something to bake in the oven? Yes? Okay, great.
This is a recipe for some really spicy french fries seasoned with my own special blend of spices:

Ready? Let's go!
Ingredients:
As many potatoes as you want french fries (3 or 4)
Several TBS of Olive Oil to coat the taters in
Spices, including, but not limited to :
  • Curry powder, 1 tsp.
  • Cumin powder, 1 tsp.
  • Salt and pepper... tablespoon? IDK!
  • 1/4 or so of bread crumbs (crunchy!)
  • "Italian Seasonings", 1 Tbs or so
  • Basil, 1 Tbs or so
  • Rosemary... chopped so you don't choke
  • Red pepper flakes!
It doesn't really matter how much you use or how much you make... just mess around with the proportions depending on how spicy you like it (sum lyke it hot?) you can always make more midway though if you run out.

Step 1: Chop the potatoes. I got a nice, sharp, non-serrated knife for christmas and have been slicing and dicing ever since... watch your fingers!
Step 2: Set out two dishes, one for olive oil and one for you SPICE BLEND.

Step 3: Get a baking sheet ready with some tin foil on it, preheat the oven to...400 degrees?
Step 4: Coat the fries lightly in olive oil, blot on a paper towel if they start getting too greasy, then transfer to the spice/breadcrumb mixture and coat them niceeeeely.
Pop those babies in the oven and wait...... like 45 minutes? a hour?
They take FUCKING FOREVER... maybe my oven just sucks but it was a really long wait. I know from experience that undercooked french fries are disgusting so it is worth waiting until they are cooked through. The breadcrumbs aren't necessary, but they do add a nice browning factor since these aren't fried.
TOTALLY WORTH IT THOUGH! Make it yourself!
